From the looks of those carts, the JW's will have to hold an umbrella over them if it started raining.

If you were around in 1914 or knew someone who was, it is highly probable that this one will indeed be the last.

Why JW assemblies NEED to change
by kneehighmiah inthe assemblies would be get better results and get more people to come and be inspired if they were more encouraging.
instead the assemblies are a giant guilt trip.
don't go to college, don't get a good job, dont buy things even if you can afford them, don't play violent games, don't flirt.

Amen...people need the place they choose to worship God in, to give them strength to get them through another week, not a place that highlights the negativity of the world and places further burdens upon them.

I think my D.O. Is a closet apostate. References Stanford Prison Study and hints he sometimes disagrees with the Branch
by kneehighmiah ini find it odd that the district overseer today made.
1. zero yes 0 references to the fds in any of his talks.. 2.he also told elders that the brothers worship god and not them.so therefore the elders have no authority to order the friends around.. 3. he also talked about the stanford prison study and said that people who receive authority over others often abuse it.
4. he mentioned that when he disagrees with the branch (aka the fds) he's learned to just do what they say.

I wish we wouldn't use the word Apostate when refering to someone who's woken up to the fact that JW's aren't the ture religon. That's "their" word for it and like much of what they think, it is inaccurate.

I don't think you have a snowball's chance in Hell Gehenna of ever getting your money back but I think it would send them the message that former members don't just disappear into the woodwork anymore. They are being watched and are being held accountable like never before.

It's about accountability. Turning in time is not only a way to measure an idividuals spirituality or for those in charge to quantify or evaluate your relaitonship God but is also serves as a way to measure ones subjection to the organization. Many are not motivated by their love for human kind, they need a way to measure and compare themselves to others or to the group and they need a tagible way to prove their worth.
Mommy, I placed 4 magazines in service today.
Good boy Pete, you are making Jehovah's heart glad.

Gone are the days when they could go unquestioned. I don't mind that they have their own beliefs, it's the blocking of outside information to it's born in members that I am so against.

Lot's of plain ordinary folks in Brazil and lots of inexpensive plastic surgery there too. Hot weather, minimal clothing required and an uninhibited culture makes it easy to spot the ones who stand out in the crowd, looks wise.
